

Executive Chef Robert Johnson has been creating exciting and delightful food since his Culinary Institute of America training in the late ‘70s. Under Rob’s leadership, Park Central’s dynamic weekly menu showcases Chef’s signature entrées as well as classic favorites. These creatively composed dishes, each reflecting the freshest ingredients in New England, offer an addition to our à la carte menu. The dining experience from Park Central’s inception has been an upscale tavern atmosphere with great fresh food.The pricing of our food and drink is designed to meet a reasonable price point for a wide range of clientele.
Park Central Tavern is a result of the friendship of three individuals: Harry Scoble and Rob Johnson, owners of the Park Central Tavern business, and Larry Coassin, the controlling shareholder of First Growth Properties, LLC, the owner and developer of the real estate. The restaurant site was purchased in the summer of 2008 and underwent a $2.3 million dollar renovation over a nine month period. We believe the restaurant facility offers the most attractive casual restaurant dining environment in Connecticut.
