Park Central Tavern opened in 2009 in the tight-knit Hamden neighborhood of Spring Glen as an independently owned and operated restaurant offering seasonal American fare with a focus on fresh, natural and local ingredients prepared in a creative way. Polly Coassin Franzen is now the restaurant’s proprietor. The casual setting is great for someone who wants to have a burger and a beer while watching the game at the bar to a group of friends that want a four course meal while enjoying our hand picked wines and cocktails. Chef Jonathan Harris grew up immersed in the thriving culture of the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Working in kitchens since the age of 16, Jonathan has made it his goal to maintain and spread southern hospitality wherever he cooks. Trained at the Culinary Institute of America, he has combined classical training with his southern roots, bringing a unique style to the Northeast that is both exciting and comforting.
